Mind in Body : Body in Mind – The Mind Body Connection


There is that saying that the longest journey a human will take is the thirty centimetres between our heads and hearts. And even though it may be a short distance, this journey requires daily discipline to both find it and then to maintain it. This is where the mind-body connection begins. In the Western world, we often believe that our mind has all the solutions, even though the East has been reminding us for centuries that the mind’s function is to be the servant rather than the master. This belief has created havoc for our wellbeing, causing us to disconnect from the vast intelligence that our body carries inside it, inside the very cells that make it up. For example, Kinesiology is a highly effective diagnostic tool that works with the body’s natural intelligence to tell us anything we need to know about our wellbeing, very quickly. Our body holds the entire story of us as humans, our mind simply acts to translate and let us know. So if our body holds the truth of our wellbeing — physical, emotional and spiritual, why would we ever want to ignore it?
