Are people defying God by not using the body and mind given them to their full potential? In other words…?

…do you defy God by refusing to masturbate?

I mean if God came out and told me, “Hey, Master ß, wrap that rascal now kthxbai!” I’d definitely reconsider the evening’s itinerary. As it is, however, we have our bodies and minds as they are in the here and now, and the closest some say we have to a guide are recycled words in various hidebound books from ancient times, translated and edited through the generations.

If God provided our flesh, would we be defying It by not working it? Oh and the mind, too?
